It is crazy that August is almost over! We have been so busy that time is flying by and that means baby is going to be here before we know it. Exciting, but deep breaths! So after getting back from Utah last weekend, we tried to recover and take it easy on Monday with just work and a quick trip to Costco for groceries and dinner.
Tuesday evening I had a floral arranging class after work! I had emailed New Seasons Market, a local grocery store, to see if they had floral classes a few months back, but they didn't. However, they were willing to work with me to set something up. So after a few months of emails and deciding on what to do, it finally happened!! I invited 6 friends to come to the class with me and we had a blast. We learned how to arrange flowers in a vase and general flower care and arranging principles. By the end of the class, we all got to take home a beautiful arrangement!
I am such a fan of New Seasons now and they really are the friendliest store in town. They even talked about offering different classes and I am so there. THANK YOU!!!
Happy flowers on the table!
Wednesday I woke up so tired and not feeling very well. I drank tea all day long at work and then left a little early so I could rest. I also got my hair cut, which was needed because it hasn't happened since January!
Don't mind the tired and non-smiling face, just focus on the hair!
Thursday was the baby shower and it was amazing. To see all the details check out this post!
Friday finally arrived and I was so happy to have some time to rest and relax. I started things off right by finishing a project at work and leaving at noon. I then went and got a pedicure - both for the swollen feet and to get ready for Hawaii! After I came home and waited for Bryce. He had a dentist appointment so I went with him so I could do some shopping at the same time! After we went to Costco and got pizza for dinner and ribs to BBQ on Saturday. We then went to a root beer float party at the park, Luckily it didn't rain and even though it was overcast it was still warm. Bryce then had soccer so I came home and worked on a craft project. It was a lot of fun being creative! The only bad part was when I knocked the paper shredder over on my toe trying to get to my CriCut. Ouch, but luckily it didn't ruin my pedicure just a bruised big toe!
Side note: I got a shellac pedicure because I wanted the polish to last especially with Hawaii. I am in love even if they didn't have any shellac neon colors.
Saturday was very stormy with lots of wind! It made me want to stay inside so that is what I did! I worked on my craft project in the morning and then we did a lot of cleaning and figuring out how to get baby stuff organized. It was fun having so much baby stuff to organize. I can't wait to dress a little baby in clothes and wrap him up in blankets! We then had friends come over for lunch to eat Bryce's amazing ribs. They were delicious! We also had bread and asparagus. We ate until we were pretty much in a coma and once everyone left we took naps. After our naps, we were not hungry so we didn't really eat much of a dinner. We did watch a movie called Tess. I was engaged in the movie, but in the end it was too depressing for me. I actually realized that I had tried to read the book before and it was just too boring and depressing. It has been compared to a Jane Austen type novel, but I don't agree with that.
Sunday we relaxed and went to church. After we ate grilled cheese sandwiches and somehow did not take a nap. I talked to my mom for awhile and
Also, I finished my craft project - Thank You cards for the baby shower. I made them to match the theme (Welcome to the World Baby) and it was so fun being creative. Thankfully, I kept the design pretty simple for once so I was able to finish them in a timely manner.

Now I really want a rootbeer float. Also, whenever I read CriCut I still say cry-cut in my mind. Ha.
