We were so ready for the weekend and some rest and relaxation! Friday I worked until 4PM, which felt so late since I usually leave around noon. We got home around the same time and my Chatbooks had arrived! I love them so much and am so excited to make more. These three are from our Instagram accounts and document our adventures so well. Since I never print pictures anymore and trying to make a photo book requires so much effort, these are the perfect solution. Can't wait to make more!
We decided to go downtown for dinner. We went to our favorite Italian place, Piazza Italia, since it has been awhile and I have been craving it. We had to wait a little bit for our table so we enjoyed the nice evening before eating. After a very filling meal, I needed a little dessert so we went and got crepes to keep the European flair of the evening. We weren't sure how big the crepes were so we ordered two and they came out HUGE. They were also delicious!

We went home so full, but hopefully I learn soon not to eat so much because it is painful with a pregnant belly. I even woke up still full.
Saturday we both slept in and it felt great. I went to the gym for a quick workout and then went to my coworker's house for brunch and a party. I was excited to see her new place and it was fun to try some beauty products. After that I came home and Bryce and I went to the PDX Street of Dreams. This year it was in Lake Oswego and there were 9 homes and they were more impressive than last year so that was good. I didn't really see any inspiring ideas that I would want to incorporate into my house, but I always appreciate good decorating and home designs.
After looking at the houses, we were hot and tired. I ended up falling asleep on the couch and Bryce also took a nap. When we woke up, I was ready for dinner and to try a new place. We decided on Taqueria Nueve, a Mexican food place.
For starters, we tried the empanadas that were quite tasty. Then Bryce got a beef and two pork tacos. I got a pork and fish taco. They were all good! However, still not better than La Plaza. Then for dessert we got a brownie with ice cream. It was fun because it had a little chili powder to give it some heat. After our fantastic meal, we came home and watched Insurgent (a pretty ridiculous movie) and I did some crafting making a birthday card for a friend. I was especially excited to use all the new stuff that I got from Cindy.
Sunday morning I woke up and made banana muffins before Stake Conference. They turned out so well if I do say so myself. I didn't over mix them and they were so tasty!
Stake Conference was good, but I am hitting that stage where it is hard for me to sit for so long. By the end, my back was hurting and I couldn't sit comfortably. We came home and took naps. Then we went and had a picnic in the park with the Brook's. After awhile we came home and relaxed. It was warm enough that we enjoyed the AC in our room and I worked on the baby registry stuff. It all worked out that baby gets a baby shower in Oregon and California. I have such amazing friends and family!
