What a whirlwind of excitement this weekend! Thursday evening Bryce and I headed out to Utah to meet Landon's twin boys, Clark and Carter. They had just arrived in Utah for Landon's clinical rotation so it worked out well to see them. We flew in late Thursday evening and hurried to Chick-fil-A for some dinner since we didn't have time before we left Portland.
We then drove down to Provo and stayed at Greg and Abby's apartment even though they were gone for the weekend let us stay at their place. It was the kindest and nicest accommodations. Thank you!!
Friday we got up and got ready and then we went over to Shelley and Landon's. First thing we did was see Clark and Carter and it was love! Oh they are so sweet and cute and I gave them so many kisses and snuggles. Also, Landon and Shelley were the cutest parents and I loved watching them with the boys. We sat around and chatted for awhile. Bryce and Shelley's brother, Shane, served in the same mission in Argentina and even had some time overlap so they reminisced for a little bit. After getting everyone fed and ready, we went to an Argentinean bakery and got some amazing cookie pastry things. I wasn't sure I was going to like it, but I loved it and wish we had gotten more! We then went to lunch at In n Out. It was delicious!
After lunch, we went to BYU campus to see the changes. Parking was a little crazy with it being Education Week and we kept seeing cars being told to turn around at the security booth so when we pulled up, Bryce told them "Nostalgic Alumni" and they let us right in! Landon told them they were with us and they let them in too! Apparently, Bryce knew the magic word and said it with enough authority they couldn't refuse us.
We then walked around campus and checked out the BYU Store getting a few BYU items because we can't help ourselves!
We saw Shelley's parents who were there for Education Week and then Lauren came since she works at BYU. It was fun catching up and goofing around!
We then got some chocolate milk and drove to the Provo City Temple. BYU isn't the only thing getting changes and improvements. Downtown Provo is looking pretty nice. We ate dinner at Station 22 Cafe right on Center Street and it was very yummy.
After dinner, we were all so tired so we went back to Shelley and Landon's to relax and be with the boys. I helped Landon give the twins baths, which was so fun but also freaked me out having their lives in my hands! We then laughed and told stories and enjoyed being together. Lots of fun and it only took Landon and me 30 minutes to say good bye. Apparently, Cook's aren't quick at goodbyes. Haha!
Saturday we got up and got ready and headed up to Bountiful. Spencer, Miriam, and the boys had come down too to see us so we were so excited to see them! On the way up, we stopped at Waffle Love for breakfast. So yummy.
Then it took a little bit to find Sara and AJ's house, but eventually we got there and the party started! The boys were all so big and adorable. I had a little Nike backpack for Mason and he was very excited that it was "real Nike" (not sure where he is getting fake Nike stuff, but glad he recognizes the real stuff!).
Spencer was busy making us pizza for lunch. He had even made his own pizza sauce and the pizza turned out amazing. Landon, Shelley, and the twins showed up right before lunch so we all ate together. We then went to the rec center to swim. It was very exciting and even the twins joined in. It was so much fun! After swimming, we came back to the house and finished getting ready for dinner. Spencer had smoked ribs, made chili, and ratatouille. It was pretty amazing! We then did henna.
Miriam had brought her henna stuff and has such talent with designs. It was awesome and we all had to get at least one! We also held babies and laugh and shared stories. I loved it!
Nothing better than a sleeping baby sleeping on my chest!
We didn't leave until after 11PM because we were having so much fun and I love family time! We came home and went straight to bed. Pregnancy has reduced my party abilities!
Sunday we got up and were pretty tired from all the fun, but Landon texted me right away that they were up and so we got ready quickly!
That face melts my heart!!!
Landon made us a yummy pancake and eggs breakfast. I knew my time was limited with the twins so I ate with one in my lap!
We then went to church and the boys slept the whole time. Such good babies! After we came home and ate lunch. Shelley's family had grilled cheese sandwiches and watermelon and it sure hit my pregnant food spot. The grandma sycamore bread and garlic bread are the secret! We then had to get in our last few snuggles and kisses with the boys before saying goodbye.
Oh it was so sad to say goodbye! We have the best family! So grateful that Spencer and Miriam were willing to come down and so glad it worked out to see Landon and Shelley. Thanks family for being so awesome!! Can't wait for September when the next little family reunion happens!

Such cute little babies! Waffle love is so good and it sounds like your brother is quite the cook!
