Another busy week! Monday we went to Costco and got pizza for dinner and groceries for the week. We also treated ourselves to Oreos and fruit snacks. My sweet tooth has been out of control the past few weeks. By Tuesday I was already exhausted, so when Cindy and Kenzie arrived at our house that evening I stayed home instead of going to a Relief Society activity. It was nice because we just sat around and chatted. Bryce also got us dinner at Luc Lac, which was amazing. It was a much warmer night than when Cindy and Kenzie stayed with us earlier, but they made it work. Wednesday evening we went to a concert in the park with the Thompson's. We brought dinner and enjoyed the Beatles tribute band. I also tried Ginger Beer for the first time and it was delicious!
Thursday was a little more low key and I went to the gym. And finally it was Friday again! I was able to take off at noon and stopped at the mall. I am at that point where I need to get some maternity pants and I was able to find some shorts. I also looked at some baby clothes, but didn't find anything cute enough to buy. I got home and talked to my mom. She inspired me to make tomato soup with my extra tomatoes from Cindy that I couldn't eat and it turned out amazing! Well, I didn't actually eat it because it is definitely not soup weather, but I freezed it so we could have it when baby comes!
Friday evening, Bryce and I went downtown for dinner. We decided on Indian food mostly because we wanted naan. We got the butter chicken dish and also a mango lassi. It was a great meal. We then walked around since it was nice and we weren't ready to go back home. We then came home and watched a movie on Netflix called The Paper Source. It's about a first year law student at Harvard set in the 80s. I was worried that Bryce couldn't handle it and would have nightmares, but he was good. I liked it too because I felt like it hit on the stereotypes of law school - like how law school makes people nuts! I am glad Bryce survived so well and that it is in the past!
Saturday we had lots planned so not much sleeping in. Bryce played basketball and I got cleaning. I also made potato salad for Sunday. Then I ran to the gym before getting ready. Around 2PM, we left for the Adult Soap Box Derby. It is pretty entertaining and we got there for the competitive races. They were going so fast!
After we got waffles at The Waffle Window and then went over to Fire on the Mountain for chips and queso and wings. Lots of food!
After eating dinner, we drove up to Vancouver to see the Clayton's. They bought a house up there a few months ago and we were excited to see it. They were the cutest hosts and even had lawn games for us to play. It was such a party and great company!
Sunday we had crepes for breakfast and then hurried to get ready for church. We enjoyed a missionary homecoming and then primary was fun especially since I only had three kids. After church I was tired and took a nap. We then ate just potato salad for dinner and forewent barbecuing chicken because we were too hungry and hot. After we hung out with the Brook's and the Merrill's came over too.
