Heatwave, Babies & Soccer

This past weekend was so exciting and so warm! The beginning of the week was rainy and cold, but it was in the 90s by Friday. Luckily the week wasn't too horrible and I was able to get my car to the dealership to finally get the recalled airbag fixed. Then Friday morning I got a text that Shelley's water had broke and they were at the hospital. YAY! I only had a half day of work and good thing because I could not focus on work. I just wanted baby updates! On my way home I  did a quick little shopping for some 4th of July decorations but with no success. I then came home and called mom. We had fun chatting until we finally got news that baby A had arrived. We waited a little longer and baby B came too! Oh so exciting!
Friday evening we went out to dinner at Fire On the Mountain. It is so nice to have my appetite back! We then came home and watched a movie, but I ended up falling asleep. Bryce had a late soccer game so he went to that and I stayed home.

Saturday was a good day. Bryce played basketball in the morning. I got up and started cleaning and organizing the kitchen. I really wanted to get rid of stuff. I then went through my closet and got rid of a few things. I went to the gym and enjoyed a good workout and the AC. After that, I got ready and then Bryce and I ran errands. We stopped by the bank, the library, and the DI truck. We then went to Bridgeport and I found 4th of July decorations at Crate & Barrel. What a long search! Bryce then found a Hawaiian shirt at J Crew. We came home and I decorated before going downtown for dinner and the Timber's game.
 Love my mantle!
We went to Killers Burger and it was delicious. We headed to the Rose Garden and it was in full bloom. It was so pretty.
We walked around for awhile before heading to the soccer game. Bryce's law firm had an event at the Timber's soccer game so it was nice to have free tickets. Our seats were on the south end behind the goal. It was exciting and had to pay attention because balls would go flying over head when they would try to score. In the last ten minutes of the game the Timber's scored twice to win the game! It was great!
Sunday we went to church and enjoyed the spirit and AC. It is so hard not having AC in my car or in our apartment. After church, we invited our friends over for dinner - leftover pasta salad that I made a ton of earlier in the week. After dinner, we got the AC unit setup in our bedroom and watched some of the Warriors game before going over to our friend's house for a dessert night. The evening got a little cooler and it was nice to be outside chatting with friends.

Then it was still super hot on Monday so we had a pool party with our friends for FHE. It was nice to finally cool off!

  1. Those twins are so cute! I love your top that you wore to the rose garden. I'll have to come in July sometime because the roses look amazing!
