On Tuesday, Bryce and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary! It is crazy that it has been 3 years and somehow it has been 3 years. Marriage is great! We ended up getting Dang's for dinner, but other than that we didn't celebrate too much that evening. I had a call with a guy who wanted to know more about working for Nike and then yoga in the park with friends. After yoga, Bryce gave me a card and then we went and visited with our neighbors and ate popsicles. Then on Wednesday evening we went to Costco and Bryce bought me some flowers.
I forgot to take a picture of the flowers, but I did take pictures of some pretty hanging baskets!
Friday I got off work early and went shopping. I had a list of places and things I wanted to get:
- Ross: leggings for Bryce and me- JC Penny: Jurassic Park shirts for Bryce and me
- Macy's: maternity clothes
- Paper Source: cards
Usually having such a specific list makes shopping hard, but this time it went pretty well. Ross even had some good maternity clothing. I was pretty excited about the leggings too! At Macy's, I found a maternity rash guard that will hopefully help me not sunburn this summer. Then got home a little after Bryce to show him my finds.
That evening, I was struggling to figure out what to eat for dinner. I really wanted Mexican from La Plaza, but a trip to Concord to get dinner couldn't happen with Bryce's soccer game at 8PM. We finally decided on this Teriyaki place that is pretty close by. Then Bryce went to his soccer game and I fell asleep. I finally woke up enough to call Celeste. I was excited to talk to her about all their exciting plans to move to North Caroline - so much had changed since we last chatted.
Saturday morning, Bryce and I slept in and then got ready to go berry picking before it got too hot. We tried a new farm called Smith's Berry Farm and got a ton of raspberries.
Unfortunately, the weather has been warm earlier this year that we missed the strawberries again even though we went earlier just to get strawberries! Oh well!

We then got some crazy breadsticks and tickets to Jurassic World for that evening before going home and doing some cleaning. I went to the gym and then after I played around with my hair trying to do the loose curl look, but I am not very good with hair and so much time. My hair is also super long at least for me.
I finally got ready for real and then we left for dinner at Ned Ludd. It's definitely a Portland restaurant with quirky decorations, open kitchen, and hipster waiters. The unique part is they do all their cooking in a wood-fired oven. So for starts we got flat bread and goat cheese. It was delicious! Then Bryce got trout and I got quail. Incredible.
We then went to Papa Haydn on 23rd and got dessert. I got the Boccone Dolce, which turns out to be Pavlova and I know how to make it! I actually think I make a better Pavlova because I don't let the meringue get all dried out. Bryce got the Raspberry Gateau, which was amazing and something I could not make. We thought about getting a table and eating there, but we weren't sure we would have enough time to get to the movie early so we got the desserts to go. And good thing we did because a semi-truck trailer had tipped over on I5 and we were stuck in traffic for 40 minutes. We ate our desserts in the car and got to the movie 5 minutes late.
Bryce was awesome and found us good seats in the crowded theater by getting a lady to move her coat and purse that she had on a chair. We both liked the movie!
Sadly we didn't get to show off our shirts since we arrived late, but we snapped a few photos. When we got home, the Brook's were kind enough to take pictures of us in our shirts and being dinosaurs. It was a good day!

*The top picture is from another night, but I was excited that we found a big cardboard sign so we took a picture with it!
Sunday we went to church and then had a Crepe & Curry party - ate crepes and watched Stephen Curry in the championship! We invited the Brook's over too.
After the game, we skyped with Landon and Shelley and the twins. They are so small and yummy and wish I could give them kisses.
Happy Anniversary to us and cheers to a very exciting year ahead!

I can't believe how long your hair is! I think that your loose curls look really good. Bryce's gateau looks amazing. All of your good food makes me want to move to Portland.
