Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Bryce!
With parenthood on the brain, I have been looking forward to Father's Day for awhile. Bryce and I both sent cards to our dad's and then I also sent a Captain America card to Landon because I just had to with this being his first Father's Day with the twins. On the actual day, I got up and made raspberry pancakes for breakfast for Bryce.

Then we went to church and I was so happy that the ward gave the father's treats. The primary kids sang and it was pretty cute. We then both taught our primary classes and I felt like I have finally come up with ideas that the kids enjoy. They especially liked the object lesson about how the Atonement works.I took salt and poured it on a plate and said that our bodies are the salt all clean and pure. Then I took pepper and said when we make a mistake or choose the wrong we make our bodies dirty and threw the pepper on the salt. I then had a plastic spoon that I rubbed on one of the kids hair and said the spoon is like the Atonement and can take our sins away and make us clean again. I then ran the spoon over the pepper and it all pulled up from the salt. The kids were wowed!

After church, we relaxed and called our dad's to wish them a Happy Father's Day. Later on, Bryce and I enjoyed a walk to the party and tossed a Frisbee around. We hung out with the Brook's again and enjoyed their company and cooler apartment since they are on the ground level.

On Monday, I actually gave Bryce his Father's day card. I also tried to get him tickets to Brandon Flowers who is coming to Portland in September, but I failed because there aren't tickets on Craigslist yet so I gave him an "IOU" for it. Happy Father's Day Bryce!

Now for a very exciting week to find out the gender of baby!
