Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!!

This one was extra exciting because we shared our exciting news with the world!

After a week long conference, I was excited for the end of the week, but things got even more exciting for my week when it was announced that President Obama was coming to Portland and would visit Nike.

I tried to get a ticket, but I wasn't selected so that meant I worked from home on Friday. I appreciated the chill day and had plenty of work to keep me busy.

Bryce got home that evening and he was so sweet and got me flowers for Mother's Day. We then got Dang's for dinner and relaxed until Bryce had his soccer game. While he was at soccer, I worked on ideas for our baby announcement and made a sign while watching Once Upon A Time. Even though using tiny Nike shoes made a lot of sense, I didn't want to do that because using baby shoes is so trendy right now. Of course, I have a few pairs of baby Nike's so gave it a try.

Then I also have little fur booties from Italy that I bought almost a decade ago, but again I didn't want to use the shoe idea.

Bryce got home and I showed him some ideas I came up with, but nothing was exciting enough. I kept trying to come up with what things described us and that is when I thought of my little stackable penguins. Then randomly I thought of using stop motion because Bryce and I both like Wallace & Gromit. I searched a few apps and found one to use. In the morning, I did a few practice runs to figure out how to use the app. I then wanted music so googled spring music instrumental and found a good one. After that we figured out the setting and got filming and thankfully it came together quickly and nicely!

Sunday we enjoyed a nice Mother's Day and went to church.

After we ate some lunch and then Bryce headed up to Washington for his grandma's funeral. I wasn't able to make it because I needed to be at work on Monday so for most of Sunday evening I chatted on the phone with my mom and cleaned up the house. Love my mother!
