Gifts and Giving Gifts

Giving gifts usually brings me stress. I want the gift to be perfect, but I either can't think of a gift or can't find it. Nike has changed all of this for me. Who doesn't like to get Nike product? NO ONE! And I have access to a lot of Nike product. Therefore, I have started to enjoy gift giving. I always have something from Nike to give away. In particular, after the sample sale, I got some sweet stuff for Landon (he lucks out being a sample size!). I got him two pairs of shoes and a pair of shorts. I also got a pair of sweat pants that I thought Shelley would like to relax in as her belly grows with the twins! I mailed it off and three days later it arrived and they loved it! Then I sent a package to my cousin Heather with a silver gym bag and a maroon running pullover because both things reminded me of her. I decided to not tell her it was coming so it would be a complete surprise. A few days later she called and was completely shocked by it! Mission accomplished. She also loved the stuff! Oh, what fun it is to give gifts!!!

Then we was also on the receiving end of some gifts, too! Even though Christmas was just last month, things spilled over in January. First, I got a package on my doorstep the Sunday I got back from Christmas break. It was from a family in our ward whose daughter was in my primary class last year and they just wanted to say Merry Christmas and thank you. So sweet and I loved these little wooden angels!
Next, I was at work and helping in the Women's Training area when I saw a shirt in my favorite color. I asked my merchant for the style-color because I was going to look it up in the inventory system, but she said I could just have the shirt! Then Bryce and I got a few Christmas presents from family in the mail.
Here is the cute sweater I got from Bryce's aunts and the teal shirt I got at work!

Bryce also was on the receiving end of some great gifts. His parents got him some new soccer gear after he finally decided on what he wanted for Christmas. He is going to look awesome!

He also got this Timbers scarf with the PDX carpet pattern from my parents. It was on back order from before Christmas so he only opened a picture of the scarf at Christmas. So it finally arrived and he is so excited to wear it to a game!
Thank you all for the gifts; we feel so loved! And I hope we can returned the love by giving gifts especially after learning that mailing packages isn't that expensive!
