Jack O'lanterns

Saturday was a productive and fun day! Bryce got up and went to school to study. I got up and cleaned the apartment. Then I made blackberry raspberry jam and raspberry muffins. I also got things ready for dinner. My morning was made even better because I got to talk to my friend, Heidi, and my mom! Unfortunately, I should have called my mom a few hours sooner because she had great tips for making jam more fruity.....oh well!

Bryce and I then watched the BYU vs Georgia Tech game. Oh boy, it is exciting to win! And wasn't Jamal Williams just awesome to watch!

Our evening got really exciting when our friends, the Bartholomew's, came over for dinner and to carve pumpkins! I made chicken noodle soup, which was super easy and tasty, along with some sweet potatoes. They brought amazing brownies for dessert! We had a fun visit and it is fun to have kids around.

The best part was when the 3 year old gave Bryce a pretty funny speech of encouragement so that he would stick his hand in the pumpkin to get out all of the seeds. It was hilarious.
