Happy Halloween

Well this year, we had a fun Halloween, but I was exhausted and sugared-out by the end. So for work, we had a Wizard of Oz theme and I was chosen to be Dorothy. I decided I would take it as my opportunity to do a sewing project. (Side note: I have realized recently I have a strangely high level of confidence in crafts and cooking which is not supported by any skills or talents.) Anyways, I decided I did not need a pattern and could figure out how to do an apron since I wear one every day. So I called my friend, Brittany, and asked if I could use her sewing machine. After work, I ran to the fabric store then got visit taught then went visiting teaching and finally got to my friend's place to get sewing.
So four hours later because I can't talk and sew, I had my Dorothy apron....not too bad for not using a pattern!

I then wore my red shoes I got for Christmas last year and my co-worker french braided my hair during lunch. Another coworker brought me a basket and a stuffed animal dog.
The whole gang!
After work, Bryce and I went trick or treating with the Bartholomew. The kids were quite cute, but the most surprising part was how many adults were also in costumes, however, they were not asking for candy. We only went to about 20 houses and then went over the Whitings to make caramel apples! At this point, I was experiencing an extreme sugar crash and I was also tired from staying up late making the apron. Anyways, I went to bed that night very excited for November's arrival!
