After having little decorating desires over summer probably due to the joys of planning the wedding, I finally found my decorating self again this fall. I told myself that the first day it was slightly chilly I would bring out the decorations. It happened to be a Sunday and while Bryce was home teaching, I put everything up!
I just love the orange so much!
I love my ghost lights, but after I hung them they turned off randomly and I can't get them to light up again. RIP little ghost lights.
Of course, I had to have something new too! So I got the apothecary jar as a wedding present and then added the candy corn and ribbon to give it that festive feel. Even Bryce likes it!
I am just so please with how it turned out!
Fall has also inspired me in the kitchen! I have been craving butternut squash soup for awhile so I decided October 1st that it would be ok to make even if it was 80 degrees that day.
I also made apple crisp, which turned out way better than I thought because I used old apples and these pear things! So yummy!
And for dinner tonight, I have crock pot lasagna cooking. I have been on a crock pot cooking kick and tried mac and cheese Tuesday night, but that didn't turn out so well. Tonight thought, I am so excited for Bryce to come home so we can see if the lasagna tastes as good as it smells and look!
