Rhys was pretty lucky turning ONE because he got TWO parties! The first party was in California with family. It was extra special because both sets of grandparents could be there for the celebration! The other awesome part was having my mom and sister to help with everything.
I love the "1" that my sister created with the photos of Rhys! It turned out awesome and way better than I would have done. I also was very happy with my fabric banner and how well it turned out. I liked it so much that I have decided to use it in Rhys' nursery because I never did decorate it for him.
The photo timeline turned out well too and even though the picture quality ended up being dark, it was fun to see all his monthly photos.
My mom got Rhys balloons for the party and Rhys loved them!
His cute Brown Bear shirt was my inspiration for the party. He was so cute in it and he loved seeing Brown Bear on his shirt!
The party started with dinner. My mom made a delicious prime rib dinner and everyone else brought sides. We had quite the spread. We then opened presents. Rhys didn't get the idea and kept trying to eat the paper. However, he got some really awesome gifts!

After presents, we ate cake! I was excited to see Rhys eat cake.
He looks a little zoned out here, but I think him taking a short afternoon nap as to blame. Nothing some sugar couldn't fix.
