Thanksgiving

We had a very low key Thanksgiving this year that was quite nice even though it was just the three of us at home. I wanted to keep things pretty simple for dinner so we got a rotisserie chicken and a pumpkin pie from Costco; rolls, gravy, and cranberry sauce from Trader Joe's; and I only made mashed potatoes, a sweet potato casserole, and roasted asparagus. I didn't start cooking until noon and just the three dishes seems like enough cooking. It was quite a nice spread in the end.
YUM! YUM!

We didn't miss the turkey or stuffing and everything we had hit the spot. It was a pretty rainy day so we didn't leave the house. We ate our feast around 3pm and had a relaxing evening. Rhys wasn't a fan of the mashed potatoes or asparagus. He did like the chicken, the broccoli (made just for him), the rolls, and the sweet potatoes (if we fed them to him on a fork). Love how he is looking at Bryce in this picture.
So grateful for all the wonderful blessings in my life especially these two! Happy Thanksgiving!
