Austin & Rachael

This weekend we got to spend time with Austin and his family! They arrived Friday and came to Nike to see campus and check out the store. The kids liked running around after being in the car and Vivian liked all the water features and umbrellas that Nike has around campus!

We then met Bryce at the employee store and did a little shopping. After we went to Panera Bread for dinner and enjoyed being together. When we finished eating, we planned to go swimming at the hotel, but I was feeling very tired after a long week of work so they went without us.

Saturday we woke up and I was feeling rested and ready to play. We got the house in order and then Austin, Rachael, Vivian, and Henry came over. They brought baby a gift, a cute blanket and little hats! We also gave Vivian some Nike shoes for her birthday since it was on Monday. We then went to Tryon Creek Park and walked around. It was fun to enjoy the outdoors and Rachael and I had fun talking about pregnancy, babies, and raising kids. Bryce and Austin chased Vivian and chatted too. After hiking around, we drove downtown and got lunch at Little Big Burger. It was very tasty! Henry was a fan of the French fries and Vivian was very helpful making sure we had enough ketchup!

We then rode the OHSU tram up the hill to the hospital. I was excited because I had always wanted to ride it and Bryce had just taken it the weekend before with the scouts. It ended up being a lot of fun and Vivian was a big fan!
We got up to the hospital and walked around some and then rode the tram back down. From there, it was getting late in the afternoon and the kids needed a nap. We drove around for a little bit to see if they would fall asleep, but apparently they knew we were scheming to get hot chocolate at Cacao while they slept and didn't take naps. We then tried to go to the OSMI, but the kids finally fell asleep. We then drove back to Lake Oswego and went to the park by our place.
Matching Father and Son! I love it!

We ran around with the kids and played on the structure for awhile. We then went to MOD Pizza for dinner. Then we decided to try swimming again and went to their hotel to enjoy the water! It was fun and the kids loved being in the water!

Sunday morning we got up and went back over the hotel to have breakfast with everyone. Vivian was very excited about the whipping cream on the waffles! It was fun to spend time with them and can't wait to have a house one day so we can have more visitors and actually host people at our place! Thanks Austin & Rachael for coming down to visit!

After we said our goodbyes, we got ready for church and had our primary program. It went well and the kids were cute as always. Crazy that I only have a few more weeks with my class.
