Bryce and I had a very fun and full weekend! Friday I got off work at noon and had a very successful shopping trip making my first baby gear purchase. I also found some maternity clothes and things to organize our apartment. When Bryce got home, we relaxed for a little bit before heading to Beaverton for dinner. We got take-out from Roxy's for dinner and then drove out to Hillsboro to watch the Air Show. We decided to just find a park near by instead of paying the $50 for tickets to the actual show. Other people had the same idea so we had a fun crowd around us and we had lots of great views.
It was a nice evening and we had fun eating our Hawaiian food and enjoying the planes. I couldn't believe all the crazy stuff they did and some of the stuff made me nervous!
I was a little disappointed that the Blue Angels didn't actually perform Friday night, but only Saturday and Sunday, but we did get a cool airplane firework show. They put fireworks on plans and then flew around. So fun!
After the show we stopped by Krispie Kreme donuts for a little dessert. Second trimester has brought sweets back a big way.
Saturday we both got up early and worked out - Bryce played basketball and I went to the gym. We then got ready and went to a baptism for a girl in our ward. It was very nice and liked that they served chocolate milk and donuts! We then came home and got ready to go to the beach. We made tin foil dinners and headed out.
We hit some traffic going out because of an accident so we didn't get to the beach until after 3PM, but we finally arrived! It was a beautiful clear day and warm! Not your typical Oregon coast experience.
We setup our chairs and blankets then went walking on the beach. The water was still icy cold, but we enjoyed the breeze and relaxed. Around 5:30PM, I started to get hungry. We had our tin foil dinners, but it was still hot and starting a fire didn't sound very fun. We waited a little longer and then decided we had better just make the fire because it wasn't going to cool off any time soon. It was sweaty and hot!

While waiting for dinner to cook, I roasted some marshmallows, but our idea for s'mores didn't work out because all the chocolate had melted. We clearly had planned for a cooler beach trip. After awhile our dinners were done and they turned out fairly well.
Bryce had better meat and I had better veggies so we combined. We also moved to the shade since it was still hot.
I'm still learning to take selfies hence why I am not looking at the camera!
Once we ate, we cleaned up and headed home. The drive wasn't too bad and got back around 10PM and it was still pretty warm. We unpacked and cleaned up and went to bed tired.
Sunday was another warm day. Getting ready for church is so hard because I like to do my hair for church, but it is a hot sweaty mess. Church luckily has AC so we hurried to go so we could enjoy the spirit and cool air. Then we came home and hung out in our room with AC going. I worked on a birthday package for my friend and Skyped with Landon, Shelley and the twins!
A warm day on the Oregon coast is an anomaly.
