I never feel like one day is long enough to celebrate a birthday especially a milestone birthday like 30! So the party started Friday evening when Bryce and I went out to dinner. We went to Swagat's and got our favorite Indian buttery chicken dish. We were so happy and full that we came home without dessert and went to bed early after watching a few episodes of Parks & Recreation.
Saturday we both woke up early! I had lots planned for the day so no time to waste sleeping. Bryce played basketball and I went to the gym. Then we did laundry and cleaned the apartment. I even organized our sport gear! After we went to the mall for two very important reasons - get an outfit and a soft pretzel - and we were successfully on both things.
After that we went to TJMaxx to get a journal. The selection wasn't great, but I found three that will hopefully hold me over for awhile.

In the evening, we went to dinner at an Italian-inspired restaurant called Firehouse. It is actually in an old firehouse building, hence the name, and the food was delicious. For our appetizers, we got a beet salad and mussels with drawn butter.
For the main dish, I got a spicy sausage noodle dish that was incredible. Bryce got trout that was beautifully seasons.
We were very pleased with dinner and then topped off our night with Salt & Straw ice cream!
Sunday we went to church, relaxed after our very busy Saturday, and talked to family. Then Bryce made a birthday dinner for me!
The preparation of the delicious milanesa!
We are ready to eat!
Mouth-watering goodness!
At lunch, I went out with my coworkers, Laura, Tristen, and Zach, and got a lamb gyro that was so tasty! In the afternoon, I got a massage at the Nike Wellness Center that was just fantastic. After work, I came home and Bryce had the house all clean and beautiful roses for me!
We then had a party and our friends came over for chocolate milk and maple cookies! Bryce also got me a maple bar doughnut so I could blow out candles. I loved it!
There were also many calls, texts, and messages from family and friends that made the day so special! I felt very loved and so grateful for my 30 years in this world.
Those little maple cookies are so yummy with milk! Happy 30th! Happy to have you in the family!
