Powered by Food and Fun

On Monday night, Bryce and I went to a Portland Trailblazer's game with our friends Jenn and Spencer. It was against the Pelican's so we got to see Jimmer too (he didn't play, but still fun to see him!). It was a really fun game to watch and was close to the very end.
For work, I was downtown Wednesday and Thursday for an offsite. It was my first one and it was great! Lots of food, fun, and strategy planning for my team. It worked out well because I had a hair appointment downtown Wednesday evening so Bryce and I met up for dinner and ate a delicious Killer Burger beforehand. For the last part of my offsite, we had an Iron Chef type event at the Timber's stadium.

My team ended up winning and I think the bacon & apple Brussels sprouts we made were the kicker!
Friday night we went out to dinner with Lucas and Melanie to Apizza Scholls. You have to make reservations pretty far in advance to eat there on a weekend, but the pizza is totally worth it. We tried three different kinds - Bacon Bianca,  New York White, and Apizza Amore - I loved them all! The toppings were quality and unique, and the crust was amazing. We already have plans to go in December!
Bryce and I were pretty productive on Saturday. We both got up early to exercise. He played basketball and I went to the gym. I was pretty excited that I was able to run an 11 minute mile and didn't stop once! If only I could go back to 7th grade gym class and show them now. We then went to the Nike Employee store and got to enjoy the black badge privileges! We also saw some friends from the ward there so I ended up just talking and not shopping. After Bryce and I tried a sandwich place close by called Beaverton Sub Station that Bryce heard about. It was quite good and the milkshake was incredible. We then made a quick stop at the mall and got home for an afternoon nap. That evening we went to Waffle Window for dinner to get a bacon, brie, basil waffle. It was delicious! We then went to the Moses' to watch the BYU football game, which was a blowout. It was fun to see so many touchdowns.

Sunday we went to church and I attended Relief Society in my ward for the first time in almost two years. We had a visiting teaching conference so all the women got to attend. After we came home and it pouring rain so we ate lunch and then took a nap. That afternoon we took some photos and then I video chatted with Heidi and Julia. Now to get through two days of work and then off on holiday for Thanksgiving!
