It is hard to believe it is already November. I am definitely not ready for the cold, so I am trying to convince everyone that hibernation is the way to go! Anyways, the week was pretty busy. I had a conference all week at work so that involved a lot of meetings and trying to figure out what I was suppose to do since it was my first one. Then for the weekend, I went to Time Out for Women with some ladies from the ward. I had to rush home Friday after work to meet up. Bryce was super sweet and picked me up some dinner and then had it all ready for me as I ran out the door. Time Out for Women was Friday night and all day Saturday. I really liked the talk Elaine Dalton gave and there was a piano performer that was incredible. Then Friday night, we all went and got ice cream at Salt & Straw. I got home late and then woke up pretty early Saturday to head back downtown again.
Saturday afternoon, Bryce picked me up and we had our date night. First, we went to his office so I could get the grand tour. We used his parking pass downtown and then went to the 20th floor of his building. The office is very nice and so fancy with dark wood trimming. It felt very stately. He showed me around the place and I met his coworker who has an office right nice to Bryce. It was very fun and exciting to see where Bryce spends most of his week. Then we wanted to go get dinner, but the restaurant was still having happy hour so we decided to get hot chocolate down the street first. The hot chocolate place is called Cacao and they do French-style hot chocolate. I got the cinnamon infused one and Bryce got the dark chocolate. IT WAS AMAZING!
So we then went to dinner at Shigezo for Japanese food. We got some sushi then Bryce got a salmon bowl and I got the ramen noodles. We got home and I was so exhausted from the long week and full weekend. Bryce showed me some scenes from a movie he watched the night before then I feel asleep on the couch while we watched some football.
We had stake conference on Sunday, which was pretty cool because they broadcasted from the Conference Center so we got to hear from the Prophet and Elder Christofferson! It was also nice to have stake conference because we didn't have to prepare primary lessons. Then we sat by our friends and I pretty much played with a baby the whole time. She was being so cute! We got home after and ate lunch and then took a nap. Later that afternoon we hung out with our neighbors and then had dessert night at the Merrill's.
I had the most memorable cup of hot chocolate of my life in France. I was at some random persons house in the countryside and it was early in the morning and this boy I had just met made me this cup of hot chocolate and the cup was like a bowl. I looked at him for a couple of minutes just wondering how I was supposed to drink out of a bowl. It was a-maz-ing.
