Septemberfest

September is already half over! The week was very busy between work and school for Bryce and me. Friday was fun because Nike had Kobe Bryant on campus where they interviewed him. It was very entertaining because they showed commercials and highlights from his career and he talked about his experiences and what he was doing/thinking during that time. The best though was getting a free Tshirt! I am so easily won over!

Saturday we enjoyed homemade waffles with raspberry freezer jam for breakfast. Then we did some deep cleaning. That evening we headed to Mount Angel to go to Oktoberfest. (Our guess is that they celebrate it a month early to avoid rain.) It was basically a fair with some German-like option. We enjoyed a bratwurst that was quite good along with a schnitzel sandwich that wasn't very good especially since Bryce was expecting spaetzle, ice cream that we just wanted because it was hot, and apple strudel that was good, but not German. We also made sure we saw the cuckoo clock go off at 7PM that was rather underwhelming, but at least we can say we saw it. 

The best part of course was Bryce trying on hats. Sehr Schoen!
