So remember how I had a phone interview with Nike at the airport before I went to DC, well the Monday I came back they called and offered me the job! It was such a miracle and answer to our prayers. A friend whom I had worked with at Huron had just started a job at Nike and referred me to his contact. I reached out to her and let her know I was interested in finding a new job and within a week she found the Nike job and I had the interview. I gave my two weeks notice and started two weeks later!
Monday was my first day. I work on the Global Merchandise Operations team. There are three soon to be two other girls along with our manager, who is also a girl - very different than all my other jobs where I was one of the few or only girl. We work in a building that is just off the main campus, but we may be moving.
I will be working with the pricing and inventory for North America and so far I have already been able to help! I found a price that was not calculating correctly when Bryce and I went to the Employee store Wednesday evening (I got my badge that day and told him to meet me at the store after work!) because we were charged the full price. My coworker showed me how to look up the information in the system and we confirmed there was an error and we fixed it!
Anyways, so far so good, but learning is sure exhausting and the longer commute is hard! I have been going to bed earlier and waking up earlier in hopes of avoiding as much traffic as possible. Now I just need to get some books on tape!
