Last Monday evening, Bryce and I joined our friends, Jason and Alysha, for a fun Family Home Evening adventure. We went out to dinner and got New York style pizza and then watched the Chapman Swifts, where thousands of birds enter a school chimney. Of course, Bryce got tagged the first few minutes we were there, but it was pretty crazy to watch all the birds!
Then after we went out for desserts at Papa Haydn.
The blackberry cheesecake was amazing!
However, the raspberry macaroon was a major letdown. After seeing so many pictures of these cookies on Pinterest, I was sure they had to be good. Not even! Looks can only get you so far so do not be deceived any longer!
I love that Wikipedia has an article on those bird in the chimney.
ReplyDeleteI know right! There were tons of people there too! My favorite part was this lady had a table with all these facts and dead birds. She was wearing a bird headband and telling how they have official counters to count the birds....haha! I am sure it is very accurate!
