The beginning of August, I started my third and final trimester. It is crazy that the final months are here. I feel like I have been pregnant forever and yet how can baby be ready to arrive so soon?!
The initial change from the second to third trimester is mostly how tired I feel and not being comfortable. Even my daily activities are exhausting, but I continue to stay active and take the stairs at work. Part of the tiredness is because I am not sleeping as well. I will wake up in the night and not be able to fall back to sleep or I have to get up to go to the bathroom. With the thought of sleepless nights with baby, not getting sleep now seems cruel. I love sleep!
It is also uncomfortable to sit for too long. At work, I have been sitting on the floor lately because I find sitting cross-legged is more comfortable than in my chair. Baby moves A LOT and my ribs, sides, and stomach are taking a beating from baby's limbs. At times, there is so much pressure from him moving around that it feels like my stomach is going to rip open! Let's hope this means he is going to be good at soccer or something.
Can you see baby trying to bust out of my right side?!
As the third trimester has continued, I have experienced heart burn a few times. I can't believe people have it regularly. It is terrible. Tums and I are very good friends now. I also get full really fast. My little pancake stomach can't handle much.
Nesting and the desire to get things ready for baby have also intensified. I can barely focus on things at work and when I at home I have lots of energy and adrenaline to get things clean and organized. My to-do list keeps growing with things I want to get done!

We are getting excited to meet this little guy! I am also excited to take a full deep breath and not have heartburn. I am a little worried about labor. I really haven't had much physical pain in my life.

Now to sit and wait for little baby to come; I hope he doesn't keep us waiting too long!
It's an alien!
