Friday I got an offer from the Emerging Markets Merchandising Operations team so that night we went out for waffles to celebrate!
Ok, let me talk about this waffle. It's called the Three B's - meaning Bacon, Basil, Brie. It also comes with this amazing peach jam on the side. It is a beautiful balance of sweet and savory.
Saturday was jammed packed with activities. Bryce got up early and played basketball. Then we went to the temple for a session. It ended up being a little more crazy than peaceful, but still good as I consider what to do with work. After we met up with our friends and headed to the coast. It ended up being the perfect day. It was warm and clear!
We went to Cannon Beach and luckily it wasn't too crowded. We brought out kite, but there was no wind that would even get it up in the sky so we walked around on the beach for awhile enjoying the water, sun, and sand. We then got dinner at Mo's and even though it wasn't cold I still ate some clam chowder! As dusk approached, we went into town and picked up firewood and then went to Hug Point to set up for a campfire.
The tide was low so we went out on the point and went into some caves. We watched the sunset and made s'mores.
It was an incredible day and what a beautiful beach!
Sunday we went to church and then I spent most of the day trying to figure out what to do about the job. Around 10:30PM that night I got an email from the Global Footwear Planning team giving me an offer, too. So many options, which is both exciting and overwhelming! Monday and Tuesday were exhausting days, but finally I came to a decision. I accepted the Merchandising Operations Analyst position with Emerging Market. Coming from North America, it should be interesting to see what Nike does in other parts of the world. I also get a desk right by a window!
I need to stop looking at your blog-- it makes me sooooo homesick for Oregon! But I won't because I love it. Miss you guys!
