The sun has been out and about in Portland! It has been amazing so we decided to take full advantage of the good spring weather. Friday night, we went downtown for sushi and noodles. Then we enjoyed the wonderful weather and walked around after dinner. It was a beautiful night. When we got home we started a movie, but I fell asleep within 15 minutes after such a long week of work.
Saturday we got up and it was overcast. We had plans to go to the tulip festival, but I wanted it to be sunny so we decided to go in the afternoon. So while we waited, we went to the mall and hit the jackpot! I found an outfit for the wedding and Bryce got two new suits. During that time, the sun came out so we then headed down to Woodburn. The trip should have taken us 40 minutes, but apparently everyone else had the same idea and so it took over two hours to get there! I was worried it wasn't going to be worth all the traffic, but it was amazing!
Our friends, Jason and Alysha and baby Grace, were able to join us and we took so many pictures. The sun was so bright that I looked like I am in pain in most of the pictures.
And look how natural Bryce looks holding Grace.
We stayed until it closed and then headed home. We ate dinner at Chevy's since it was late and we were starving. We ate two baskets of chips and salsa before our meal came and got dessert!
Sunday was even more sunny, warm, and beautiful. We went to church and then enjoyed the day outside including barbecuing for dinner. It was a glorious!
The first year I went to the tulip festival in Washington we got stuck in traffic because the Dalai Lama was speaking. I thought everyone in the car was going to kill me but we ended up having a great time.
