Friday was my one year mark working for Nike. It is hard to believe I have been here a year and I still like my job! Of course, my computer account decided one year was long enough and expired so I couldn't use my computer all day, but luckily I had quite a few meetings to fill my time. My coworkers and I also coordinated a matching day!
We had all bought the same sweater at different times and when we realized it, we decided it would be funny to all wear it the same day. HAHA! Then after work, Bryce and I got together with our friends, Dan and Elizabeth and their baby, Jesse. We haven't seen them since August when Jesse was first born so it was fun to catch up. We went to Olive Garden for dinner and then went to our apartment to hang out.
Saturday we slept in, which was amazing, and then I made banana pancakes. I was trying to make them all healthy and just use eggs and bananas, but the first pancake was gross so I scraped that idea. The edible ones with flour and sugar were so much better!
After breakfast, we got ready and went to Costco and ran some errands. It was such a beautiful, sunny day that it was great being out and about. Then I finally got tulips to finish my Easter mantel. I was so pleased with how it turned out!
My little bunny painting worked out so well, too.
And I made a fun little egg nest.
I love spring and having everything come back to life. The blossoms are blooming and everything is turning so green! So with such nice weather, we went downtown for dinner. Bryce found a place close to where he has been working called Lardo and wanted me to try it. They had great sandwiches and we enjoyed the beautiful evening sunshine as we ate.
After dinner, we got frozen yogurt. Then we went and saw the movie, Divergent. I read the book last summer so was excited to see it along with all the teenage girls. We probably shouldn't have gone opening weekend, but we did and I liked it. The movie is good and pretty close to the book and the main girl didn't bother me too much, but Four played by Theo James was the best part. Well done casting people!
Sunday we enjoyed another beautiful sunny day! We went to church and then had our friends, Jason and Alysha and their baby Grace over for dinner - calling it our opening ceremonies to the barbecuing season! We had grilled chicken, corn, and mushrooms with a salad and amazing strawberry lemonade. Then I made cadbury egg blondies for dessert. After the dinner party, Bryce and I relaxed and watched Frozen. And even though I didn't love it, I can't seem to stop singing Let It Go!
