It's A Wonderful Life

This weekend was the perfect blend of recreation and relaxation. On Friday, Bryce had to work late and I got off work early. With my extra time, I hurried and got dinner made so it would be ready when Bryce got home. And I actually did it! We ate a warm from the oven meal when Bryce got home and then headed over to the church to watch a play. Our stake puts on a play every two years and this year they did "It's a Wonderful Life", which I didn't even know was a play/musical until this year.
So we got there early for good seats on the second row and the play was great! Such talent and skills. The main lead, George Bailey, was played by our hometeacher and he did so well. Then his wife played Mary so that was fun. His two kids were also in it along with other people we knew in the stake. The music made it more emotional than the movie so I was fighting back tears pretty much the whole second half.

Saturday, we cleaned all morning and afternoon in preparation for Thanksgiving guests. We also got the turkey so we are ready for the big feast! Then we watched the BYU vs Notre Dame game delayed and sadly the lucky wristbands I got on Friday at work weren't lucky at all! The luck was with the Irish.

We went to church Sunday morning and it was good - lots of gratitude and thanksgiving themes/talks. Then after church, we came home and had a pretty relaxing afternoon. We did forget about tithing settlement, but the clerk called us about 10 minutes before our appointment and we ran over. Our friend, Adam, came over for dinner. We made kebabs and he made bread and Brussels sprouts with bacon. It was all so tasty that we ate ourselves silly. Then we watched Iron Man 3, which wasn't very good. But I did like that they used the song "Blue" it took me right back to Freshman year in high school.
