California Shower

Friday morning I got up early and flew to California! It was so exciting because all the girls in the family were flying in and we were having a double baby shower for me and Celeste! Celeste was already there and I was next to arrive. My dad, mom, Hyrum, and Celeste were at the airport to pick me up. We then went to the Oakland temple to do some baptisms. It was fun being in the temple with family and I haven't done baptisms in forever so that was fun, too! It actually is the most comfortable thing to do being pregnant.
Missing dad who was taking the picture!
A selfie with a sister photo bombing. CLASSIC!

After we went to Fenton's and got crab sandwiches for lunch and black & tan sundaes. DELICIOUS! Next, we made a stop at Costco before picking up Miriam, Shelley, and the twins from the airport! We headed home and made a quick stop for dinner at In-N-Out. We finally got home around 8PM and opened baby gifts. Mom had lots of fun buying outfits for the babies. We then started working on baby shower decorations and getting things ready for the big party. We went to bed late having too much playing with the Clark and Carter and chatting.

Saturday we got up and started the real work of the party. We worked on food, decorations, and getting everything ready. The theme was rubber duckies and it was adorable! Perfect for our girl and boy babies. Shelley was the mastermind behind the decorations and I loved the glass balls as bubbles!
Mom found this HUGE rubber duck on Amazon and had to get it! And look at those cute cupcakes!
The food table was so cute!
We made little party favors too!

Cute baby clothes and banner!

While we decorated, Hyrum picked up Tan's Donuts and made a scramble for breakfast. He is quite the chef and I love his love for good food. We then went swimming because it was so hot! Grams and Uncle JJ were the first to arrive. We were still swimming so we sat around the pool and chatted. We then got ready and got the food out to eat. People showed up and it was such a great night!
So many family and friends!

Celeste and I trying on our nursing covers that Miriam made. She is so talented!!
Opening gifts and imagining a cute little baby wearing them! I loved all the gifts and how thoughtful and generous people were. Baby Hanks is so loved and spoiled already.
Sunday we got up early and went to church. We all sat in Primary with my mom since she was busy with practicing the primary program. It was fun! After church, we stopped by the Perkins and talked to Lisa for a little bit. Then we came home and played with the babies and did henna!
Miriam of course did awesome work. While mine dried, I took a nap. We then ate dinner and I packed. Sadly, I had to head back to Oregon that night. The party weekend was wonderful and so grateful for my wonderful family!
