The second week of December proved to be even busier than the first. I had a big conference all week so I was getting to work early and leaving late. I was able to make it to two of my friend's birthday parties, but had to miss the Relief Society Cookie Exchange. When Friday finally came, we were very glad we had reservations to Apizza Scholls. We invited our friends to come since they love pizza too and it didn't disappoint.
Saturday we had to be productive because it was our last weekend before leaving for the Holidays. First order of business was getting some gifts since we had not started yet. Luckily, I had some good ideas for gifts so we didn't have to spend too much time at the crowded stores. I also had some sweet work connections for Nike gear. After shopping we went to Waffle Window and then stopped at Blue Star Donuts. Sadly, they weren't as good as Voodoo's. On Sunday, I taught my Primary class for the last time. I brought them a popcorn cake to celebrate and the kids loved it!
Our last week before going home for Christmas was busy. We finished up some Christmas shopping and I got everything wrapped by Wednesday.
Then on Thursday I had a Nike holiday party after work. It was really just a happy hour thing, but I made a small appearance and enjoyed some food. Friday afternoon I had another holiday party, but just with my Merch Ops team. We went to a restaurant by Nike and had games, food, and prizes. It was fun, but then I had to rush home to get ready for Bryce's law firm party downtown. Luckily, traffic wasn't too bad and we were one of the first to arrive. It was fun to meet some of Bryce's coworkers and there was lots of attorney nerdiness. The partners gave first year attorneys books with titles that were somehow fitting to something they did that year. Oh, lawyers!
When we got home we did laundry and packed because in the morning we leave for California!
Also, we have loved getting Christmas cards from friends and family. THANK YOU! Bryce came up with this clever location to display them!
We also sent out our own card this year! It ended up being very fun. Our friend Melanie was kind enough to be our photographer and her husband helped and made a lovely holly/mistletoe arrangement for one photo. HAHA!
Merry Christmas Everyone!

Oooo yum! I really want some popcorn cake now. I'll have to email you for the recipe sometime.
