An August Weekend in Oregon

Since we got home from Florida on Friday afternoon, we planned a fun and productive weekend. First thing we did after getting home was shower and take a nap. Then we went to Costco for dinner and groceries since we had no food in the house. It worked out well because they had samples and we were hungry! We also got a pizza for dinner and then enjoyed a movie that night.

Saturday we got up and hiked Triple Falls and both upper and lower Oneonta Falls. We got out around 10AM before it got too hot for the first hike.
Triple Falls was a very accurate name!
We were right on the edge of the falls. Bryce was braver and got closer, but I was nervous that I would trip and fall!
Then by the time we did lower Oneonta Falls, the freezing water was kind of refreshing. It still was shocking as shown by my face!
Also, we weren't the only ones with the bright idea of trying to stay cool on this hot August day. It was crowded!
We didn't stay at the fall for very long because there were so many people. Bryce did swim out to the rock and jump in.
We were able to chase away people to get this picture. Or just wait until there was a clear shot.

That evening we went over to the Merrill's place for dinner. They moved into the ward recently and fun to hang out. We made personal pizza, which was so fun! We sat around talking and enjoying the warm evening.

Sunday we watched the Merrill's little girl, Ava, while they gave talks in sacrament. She wasn't too excited when I couldn't find her binkie! After church, Bryce and I a primary meeting. Then for the rest of the day we tried to stay cool. We took a drive around town so we could enjoy some AC and then talked to family. Now back to work after a week of vacation!
