Happy Birthday Bryce! We celebrated the best we could in spite of it being in the middle of law school finals. It is no fun sharing his birthday with finals weeks so we celebrated all weekend to make up for it! On his birthday eve, we went to Dang's Thai Kitchen for Pad Thai and then ate it by the lake since the weather has so unseasonably nice. Then we got ice cream and looked at hanging flower baskets - one day we will get one. We then came home and watched Rango.
Saturday, Bryce's actually birthday, he got up early to play basketball. Then I made him a French Toast breakfast because it is his favorite. After we went to the Nike Employee Store and got some new stuff! We then came home and Bryce had to do some studying so I worked on some birthday crafts, which ended up taking me HOURS to finish!
We finished the day off with dinner at a restaurant called The Country Cat that serve up some great southern style cooking. When we came home, we made and drank smoothies on the porch and then watched a Woody Allen movie, Annie Hall.
The party continued on Sunday when we invited friends over after church. We celebrated in Cinco de Mayo fashion with a taco salad bar, guacamole and chips, and Tres Leches cake! I found an incredible recipe on Pinterest and made it Saturday so the cake would soak up as much milk goodness as possible.
Make a Wish
As for gifts, shoes were the highlights. I got Bryce rainbow sandals since his old pair was falling apart. Then Bryce's parents got him sweet leather boots. Bryce's parents were also so sweet and got me rainbow sandals for my belated birthday present. We are ready for whatever spring weather Portland gives us rain or sun!
At church, our sweet little friends wanted to get a picture because we had on matching colors.
