I love Thanksgiving! It is such a simple holiday of being grateful and eating lots. On Wednesday, I got off work at 2pm, but Bryce had school until 9pm so I went SHOPPING! I was not shopping for anything in particular, but when I saw the cedar plank at Sur le Table, I had to get it for Bryce! With his new found love of grilling, I thought it would be fun. Then I came home and made a card, which was inspired from Pinterest.
My favorite part is that I wrapped the gift in the bag it came in and used the handles to make a bow! Then I spent the rest of the night cleaning and doing laundry.
Thursday, we slept in until 7:30 and then got ready and packed. We drove up to Auburn, making very good time, and arrived a little after noon. We got to meet baby Vivian who looks a lot like her dad and is so cute and tiny.
We went over to Aunt Allyson's for dinner and ate lots of amazing food. After dinner, I took a nap while Bryce washed dishes and when I woke up he was still washing dishes! Very good guy!
That night, we went back to Austin and Rachael's where we played the Wii for a few hours! So fun and bowling is still my favorite.
Friday we enjoyed lot of rest and relaxation then had short trip to the mall since we wanted to get out of the hours. Two things to note, I didn't see any fantastic deals and Vivian loved the mall. After we watched a funny movie called The Court Jester.
So Saturday we slept in until 10AM, which is so late and hasn't happened since marriage! I think it was sympathy tiredness for Austin and Rachael, who are up so much at night with baby. Babies are a lot of work! We then got ready and went to brunch with everyone. After we headed back to Portland very grateful for family and some time off from work and school. I love Thanksgiving and being able to think about all the many blessings I have been given especially this year!
