Baby Blessing

This last weekend, we went up to Washington for Vivian's baby blessing. It was such a crazy week after Thanksgiving that it felt like a month since we had been there even though it was just a week! So in my stressed state, I usually try to find craft projects and so I offered to make baby blessing shoes. I had made some before last year and I figured with the help of the internet I could figure something out. Thursday night I did a practice one with a pattern I found online, but it wasn't quite there. So Friday night I found a new pattern and tried again. It was better, but with so little time I made a few modifications and started on the real ones.

Then on our drive up, I sewed the whole time. Oh boy, two and half hours has never felt so short! I had not even finished one by the time we got there, but while watching a movie and visiting with family I got them done!

We also went to a Creche festival, which was so fun. I told Bryce we had to pick one nativity that we would want to take home.

On Sunday, we got up early and went to church. During the blessing, baby girl cried the entire time until her dad held her up to the congregation...I think she planned it.
Baby girl on her big day - she would not stop moving so her head it blurry!

We then ate a wonderful ham lunch, visited with family, and got a little nap in before we headed back to Portland. On our way home, I was able to stream the First Presidency Christmas Devotional on my phone using the BYUtv app, which was so good and made me so happy!
And now we have some presents under the tree!

Also, in other baby news, did you see that Prince William and Princess Kate are going to have a baby?! I am so excited.
